One medium potato contains 570 mg of potassium, 52 mg of phosphorus, and it is also rich in magnesium, calcium and iron. And vitamins C, B, D, K, E, carotene, organic acids and folic acid make potatoes an indispensable product in our diet. Such a large amount of potassium helps to remove excess water from the body, which relieves edema and increases the metabolic rate. Potatoes do not weight the gastrointestinal tract, but, on the contrary, improve its work. Methionine and choline, regulators of fat metabolism, help to lower cholesterol and increase the production of useful enzymes in the intestine.

So why not use all these useful properties of potatoes for the benefit of your figure and not make potatoes the basis of the diet?

Three-day potato diet

If you urgently need to climb into your favorite dress, you can advise such a menu: for breakfast you drink 250 ml of milk, for dinner, prepare yourself a mashed potatoes from three medium-sized potatoes without salt and oil. For dinner, eat a salad of two potatoes, a boiled egg and a touch of vegetable oil (remember, without salt!). Eating this way for 3 days, you will get rid of 2 kg of excess weight.

Seven-day potato diet

This option is designed for a week and promises a weight loss of up to 5 kg. The meaning of this diet is very simple and consists in the fact that during the week you will have to eat only boiled potatoes in a uniform. Every day you can eat 1 kg, dividing it into as many meals as you want. Potatoes can not be salted, because with this diet, a large amount of excess water is eliminated from the body. But any other herbs and spices can be added to the potato, which will make its taste more diverse.

If such a potato diet seems too hard for you, then in the morning you can eat a piece of rye bread with a thin layer of butter, and in the lunchtime add fresh vegetables to the potatoes. But then the weight loss will not be so significant.

You can also try potato-cabbage and bread-and-potato diet. To do this, in the first case, add 500 grams of cabbage a day to the potato, and so eat for a week. And in the second - at each meal with a potato to eat a slice of rye bread.

Kefir and potato diet

This diet is more diverse than the previous one. In addition, it is more nutritious, but it is also calculated for 7 days. Kefir and potato diet is great for those who want to cleanse the body of toxins, because, following this diet, you must drink a large amount of mineral water.
