Park-Bolivar (Seminario Park)

Bolivar Park (Seminario Park), called the iguan park, is located in Guayaquil , one of the largest and most dangerous cities in Ecuador .

Things to do?

Seminario Park is very well located right in the center of the bustling city. It's such an island of coolness and greenery in the stone city jungle. There is a beautiful monument to Simon Bolivar in full growth.

There is nothing to do here, it's more like a place for rest and relaxation. Iguanas roam the territory freely, climb on benches, cross paths and are the complete owners of the park, which is shared with ... squirrels. And they are quite peaceful with them.

The territory of the park is fenced with a lattice fence, through which iguanas freely penetrate the city. Tourists and locals catch them and send them back. On the streets of the city you can see an amusing picture - a lost iguana crosses a busy street, and everyone is waiting for her to slowly creep over to the other side.

The iguanas are tame, take pleasure in eating with people, allow themselves to touch and scratch. If you want, you can take good pictures. In the heat, lizards should be looked for in trees or near a waterfall. In cloudy weather, iguanas happily move through the park, frosting in interesting positions in the most unexpected places.

In addition to the iguanas and the life-giving coolness of the trees in Bolivar Park, you can see an interesting pond with black turtles and colorful koi carps.

Never settle for rest under the trees, chosen by lizards, otherwise you risk getting a bunch of excrement right on Panama. Considering that some individuals reach a length of one and a half meters and more, the situation will not turn out to be pleasant.

How to get here?

The iguana park is located at: Chile and August 10, Guayaquil 090150, Ecuador . You can get here on one of the shuttle buses that run in the city center, or by ordering a taxi. If you live in a hotel nearby, you will get a great walking tour.
