In 1990, its first reconstruction was made in connection with the increased passenger flow - the arrival and departure halls are divided.

In 2004, before the Olympics, the airport became the last stop before Athens for the stop of the Olympic flame; after that it was decided to expand it. There is a taxi stand at the exit from the terminal; the cost of the trip depends on the distance (the cost of one kilometer of the road during the day is about 75 euro cents, in the night - about 85), it also includes the landing and transportation of luggage. For example, it is possible to get from the airport to Paphos for 20 euros, and to Limassol - for 70 euros. On weekends and holidays, the cost of travel is higher. In advance, a taxi should not be ordered - if your flight is delayed, for a simple car you will have to pay out an impressive amount.
