Onion on greenery in a greenhouse

Greens make our food more tasty and useful, so it is recommended to grow it all year. In winter, this is only possible in an indoor environment. In this article, we will tell you about growing onions for greenery in greenhouses.

How to grow green onions in a greenhouse?

For such planting, Spassky, Bessonovsky, Skopinsky and Troitsky are best suited. Bulbs should be chosen in diameter about 3-5 cm without visible damage. There are two ways how you can land. This is due to the fact that the greenhouses are cold and warm.

In a cold greenhouse, onion planting should be carried out in mid-October on beds after beets, carrots or tomatoes. The soil on them immediately before this must be dug up and fertilize (manure, compost and mineral fertilizers 30 g per m & sup). After that, level the ground and plant the bulbs in rows, deepening them by 4 cm and retreating one another by 2.5 cm.

After the frost begins, the beds should be covered with a mixture of peat and straw (not thinner than 15-20 cm). This layer should be removed at the end of March and covered with a plastic wrap. Further care for onions will consist in timely watering and carrying out of additional dressings. Feathers on the green can start to cut in early May.

Growing green onions in a heated greenhouse yields higher yields if one follows the following recommendations:

  1. The preparation of the bulbs consists in heating them at 40 ° C for 24 hours and cutting the neck.
  2. The landing is very dense, after that we regularly water and apply nitrogen fertilizers.
  3. The temperature in the greenhouse should be + 20 ° C during the day, and + 15 ° C at night.

In a month you can use it as a green seasoning.

Growing green onions in a greenhouse is carried out not only in winter, but also in summer, as the described method gives good results at any time of the year.
