The main collection of Norrkopings stadsmuseum is devoted to the development of the textile industry of this Swedish city. It was here, on the bank of the Mutalastrom River, that the first weavers who arrived here at the beginning of the 17th century settled. The first weaving factories appeared in Norrkoping only two centuries later and became the reason for the rapid growth and development of its economy.
