In the morning of September 5, in a Moscow region Ivanteevka, a monstrous accident happened: a student of the 9th grade burst into the computer science room with a cry: "I came here to die," and then attacked the teacher, striking her head with a kitchen hatchet. On this the crazy teenager did not stop, he opened fire from a traumatic pistol and began to scatter smoke bombs on the class. His frightened classmates, trying to escape, jumped out of the windows.
The offender was captured by the school guard and handed over to the incoming police. The teacher and several students who received fractures when jumping from the window, were hospitalized, now their lives are not in danger.
It was possible to find out that the schoolboy had long been preparing for an attack. Judging by his page in the social. network, he was in full interest in massacres and was a fan of Mike Klibold - a teenager, who organized a brutal massacre at Columbine School in 1999.
Why does this happen at all? Why do seemingly happy teenagers grab for weapons and go to kill their teachers and classmates?
Perhaps we can answer these questions if we recall the most resonant mass killings in schools.
February 3, 2014. School № 263, Otradnoe, Moscow, Russia
Grade ten student Sergei Gordeyev, armed with a rifle and carbine, burst into the geography cabinet and killed the teacher Andrei Kirillov with two shots.
When the police arrived at the school building, Gordeev opened fire on the policemen, as a result of which Sergeant Sergeant Bushuyev, a senior sergeant, was fatally wounded.
Gordeyev was detained and taken to the detention center. At the trial, his lawyer insisted that the teenager was mentally ill:
"He thinks he invented us all, that now he will close his eyes, and all those who are not interested in him will disappear. He told his own mother that she was his illusion "
According to the lawyer, his defendant committed a murder to prove the theory of solipsism - the doctrine, which states that the whole surrounding world exists only in your imagination. Gordeyev also planned to commit suicide.
By decision of the court, Sergei Gordeyev was found insane and sent to compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital.
April 20, 1999. Columbine High School, Littleton, Colorado, United States
One of the most horrific mass killings in US history occurred at Columbine School.
At 11:10, two heavily armed senior pupils Eric Harris and Dylan Clybold parked in their cars near the school building and laid two bombs with a timer in the school canteen.
The young men planned to wait for the explosions in the street, and then shoot all the people running out of the building. Schoolchildren hoped in this way to destroy about five hundred people, but the bombs laid in the dining room did not work. Then the disappointed criminals broke into the school and began to shoot at everyone who was in their field of vision. They killed one teacher and 12 pupils, the youngest of whom was 14 years old. More than 20 people were injured. After the slaughter, the killers committed suicide: each shot himself in the head.
Harris and Klibold - come from well-to-do family. Both were not popular at school and were keen on computer games. As follows from their personal diaries, they started preparing for the massacre during the year of the tragedy.
December 14, 2012. Sandy Hook Primary School, Newtown, Connecticut, USA
This crime is especially monstrous, because its victims were small children.
In the morning, 20-year-old Adam Peter Lanza shot and killed his sleeping mother, armed with several pistols and rifles from her collection of weapons, got into the car and headed for the "Sandy Hook" elementary school.
At 9-35 he broke into the building and shot children and teachers for 11 minutes. Then, hearing that the police was approaching, he shot himself. This happened between 9-46 and 9-53.
Victims of the 10-minute slaughter were 26 people: 20 children aged 6 to 7 years and six women. The headmistress and the school psychologist were killed while trying to stop the killer, 4 teachers were killed trying to save the children and covering them with their bodies.

The motives for the brutal massacre remained unclarified. Adam Lanza was born into a prosperous family, his mother was a teacher and a collector of weapons. It was on her that all the weapons were registered, from which her son shot at his victims. Adam was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome - an easy form of autism, which, however, is not characterized by aggressive behavior. He was very anxious, was fond of computer games and did not eat meat, not wanting to be the cause of the suffering of animals ...
March 11, 2009. School Albertville-Realschule, Winnenden, Germany
A former student of the school, 17-year-old Tim Kretchmer arranged shooting from his father's gun, which killed 15 people. First, he acted in the school building, and then moved to the streets of the city, where he killed several more people. Once inside the police, Kretchmer shot himself.
The motive of the brutal crime was the refusal of the girl, whom Kretschmer was courting, to meet with him. This girl studied in the school, where the massacre took place, and was killed one of the first.
November 7, 2007. Lyceum of Jokela, Tuusula city, Finland
18-year-old student Eric Auvinen arranged shooting from a pistol in his school. Killed 8 people: 6 students, director of the school and a nurse. After the massacre, Auvinen disappeared into the men's room and shot himself in the head.
On the eve of the tragedy Auvinen posted on YouTube a video called "Slaughterhouse in the school of Jokela - 7.11.2007". The film contained photographs of the school and of Awvinen himself with weapons, as well as excerpts from amateur videos of Klibold and Harris, who organized a massacre at Columbine School. Auvinen was a quiet and shy teenager, over whom peers mocked, while he mocked the pupils of the junior classes. The murderer was fond of computer games, was interested in weapons and wanted to leave a memory of himself. He hated gays, single parents and lovers couples. Mass murder he began to plan back in March.
March 24, 1998. Jonesboro School, Arkansas, USA
On this fateful day, pupils of the Jonesboro School, 11-year-old Andrew Golden and 13-year-old Johnson Mitchell opened fire on children in the schoolyard. The weapon was stolen by Mitchell from his own grandfather. As a result of shooting, four children aged between 11 and 12 died and a teacher who overshadowed the pupils with her body. More than 10 people were injured.

Golden and Mitchell could not explain what became the motive of the crime. According to some information, they were fond of the occult. The criminals received 8 and 10 years of imprisonment and are currently at liberty.
March 21, 2005. Red Lake School, Minnesota, USA
16-year-old teenager Jeffrey Wise shot 9 people, and then committed suicide. The first victims of Jeffrey were his grandfather, a retired policeman, and his girlfriend. Depriving them and armed with two pistols and a shotgun belonging to his grandfather, Wise went to his school, where he killed seven more people: five students, a teacher and a guard. According to eyewitnesses, during the murders, there was a smile on her face.
After the shootout with the police, the teenager locked himself in one of the offices and fired a shotgun at his head.
Wise was a quiet and shy guy who was bullied by his classmates. He did not study well, was obsessed with computer games and admired Hitler. Four years before the tragedy, his father committed suicide. After a while, Jeffrey's mother, who suffers from alcoholism, died in the accident, so the grandfather who was in conflict with Wise was involved in the upbringing of the teenager.
