The master class, in which we will create a marine topiary, is executed in stages. Following the detailed instructions, you can easily make such a decorative accessory yourself.
Necessary materials
In order to create a marine topiary, you will need the following materials and tools:
- sea shells, pebbles or pieces of glass found on the sandy coast;
- polystyrene ball (it can be purchased in handicraft shops):
- bamboo stick or small branch;
- glue gun;
- a plastic cup;
- gypsum;
- a small glass vase or candlestick;
- beads and twine for decoration.
Instructions
- Prepare everything you need. Since we will create a topiary from seashells, they will be our main material. Separately, you can put off the most beautiful and large shells to decorate them with the base of our "tree".
- Start gluing the shells to the foam ball using an adhesive gun.
- In the remaining spaces and unfilled spaces place smaller pieces: pieces of coral, pebbles or beads.
- Decorate the topiary in a marine style with twine elements. You can add a bright accent with the help of a starfish.
- In the pre-prepared hole, insert a bamboo stick or branch.
- Dilute the gypsum with water, following the instructions on the package, and pour the solution into a plastic beaker.
- Place a "tree" in the glass and wait until the gypsum seizes.
- Then put the design in a decorative glass vase and fill the container with stones and shells.
- Marine topiary ready!
