Architecture of the castle

Jabrin differs from other Oman forts in that it was not built during the war and is not a fortification. This, in fact, the palace, built in peacetime ruler, who was fascinated by science and art. He made this building the most beautiful historical castle in the Sultanate.

The palace is a large rectangular structure of 55 rooms. The castle is three-storyed with two towers, numerous reception rooms, dining areas, meeting rooms, a library and a madrassa. The castle has a courtyard. The walls in the rooms are decorated with inscriptions and frescoes. The ceilings are colorfully painted, and the doors and other wooden surfaces are carved. All these architectural details make Jabrin a true expression of Omani craftsmanship. The interior of the castle is decorated with windows, wooden balconies, arches, painted with Arabic script and delightful ceilings.
