IVF fertilization

In our time, the number of men and women who have heard the diagnosis of "infertility" is constantly growing. Due to well-known, and often unknown, reasons, every sixth married couple can not conceive of a child. Stages of in vitro fertilization (IVF) are as follows:

1. Stimulation of "superovulation". Within a certain period of time (7-50 days), a woman is injected with hormonal drugs, the purpose of which is to stimulate ovulation so that at the time of seizure, it is possible to obtain not one but several oocytes.
2. Seizure of eggs. When under the influence of hormonal preparations the size of the follicles reaches 1.5-2 cm, they are punctured to remove eggs.
3. Getting sperm. Sperm man gets by masturbation on his own, in the case of the impossibility of obtaining sperm in this way, there are other methods.
4. Implementation of artificial insemination IVF. The extracted eggs are artificially fertilized by introducing tens of thousands of spermatozoa into their nutrient medium or by "manual" injection of one spermatozoon directly into one egg (ICSI method).
5. Cultivation of the embryo. After the spermatozoon penetrated the egg, an embryo was formed. He will "live" in the test tube for a few more days, after which he will be injected into the uterine cavity.
6. Embryo introduction. This is a painless procedure, two weeks after which you can do a pregnancy test. It will be positive for every third woman who made fertilization by IVF.

IVF with in vitro fertilization with ICSI

IVF with IVFI fertilization (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) is advisable to use only with very poor "quality" of sperm, when the amount and mobility of spermatozoa are critically reduced, pathological spermatozoa are present, antisperm antibodies are present.

Artificial insemination of IVF using the ICSI method requires high concentration and accuracy. Specialist microtools specialist selects the most mobile and healthy spermatozoon, interrupts his tail, using a microneedle pierces the outer shell of the egg and introduces a sperm.

Despite the unnatural way of fertilization, children "from the test tube" are quite natural, they do not differ from their friends, they are healthy, smart, mobile, although somewhat capricious. As a result of IVF fertilization, twins are very often born, and this is a double happiness for the parents.

IVF fertilization under the state program

The state program on IVF fertilization exists in many countries of the post-Soviet space (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc.) but the scale of its implementation leaves much to be desired. As practice shows, women who want to have a child, but who do not have a financial opportunity, are ten times more than those who really fall under the program.

In addition, in some state IVF fertilization programs various limiting conditions are indicated, in particular, age, absence of certain diseases, mandatory presence of obstruction of pipes or their complete absence - as a cause of infertility and the like. The number of attempts of artificial IVF fertilization is also limited, as a rule, only one attempt.
