Therefore, the International Teacher's Day is a holiday that has special significance for every person. The history of the day of the teacher

In Soviet times the date of the International Teacher's Day was not strictly fixed. Since 1965, on the territory of the Soviet Union, this holiday was celebrated on the first Sunday of October . Officially on this day hundreds of countries welcome teachers with smiles and flowers. In Russia, since 1994, also the teacher's day began to celebrate on October 5. However, some countries, such as Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia and others, still celebrate this day on the first Sunday in October. In Russia, on a holiday dedicated to teachers, it is customary not only to hold concerts, but also to organize "days of self-government". This activity means an attempt by the pupils to play the role of teachers, and to assess the complexity of the profession. In turn, teachers can relax and enjoy the holiday.

As a rule, in many countries, choosing the day when the International Teacher's Day is celebrated, set a day that does not fall out during the school holidays.
