How to wash tulle in a washing machine?

Complete with curtains and even in itself, the tulle on the windows looks exquisite and adds coziness, while allowing the room to penetrate the diffused sunlight. At the same time, it accumulates a lot of dust, because of what it can look dull and dirty, and therefore require periodic washing.

Although many recommend only chemical cleaning of tulle, it can also be washed in a washing machine. The main thing is to do it correctly, so as not to damage the product.

If you live in the region, even with a high level of dusty air, then the tulle is enough to wash once a year or two, and in the interval between washing it is easy to periodically shake out or vacuum it. The fabric of the tulle is very thin and delicate and quickly loses its appearance when it is washed frequently.

How to properly wash tulle in a washing machine?

Carefully remove the tulle from the eaves and load it into the drum machine. To reduce the probability of damage to the tulle when washing to a minimum, before you put it in the washing machine, you can pre-fold it into a special bag for washing delicate things. Set the shortest mode, usually "Delicate wash" or "Hand wash". If your tulle is made from 100% cotton or other natural fabrics, then wash it in cold water, if from artificial, for example, polyester, you can set a mark of 30 degrees.

Do not use the drying and spinning functions when washing the tulle in the washing machine! If necessary, pounce it on the clothesline and allow the water to drain. It is advisable to hang it not on one rope, but at once on several, so as not to form a sharp break and the tulle does not lose shape. Also for drying, you can use something thicker, for example, a tube for a shower curtain. If the tulle is only slightly moist, immediately hang it back on the cornice .

If the tulle is a bit wrinkled, just walk a little at the folds with an iron, or, after hanging the tulle on the cornice, sprinkle them with water from the spray gun and gently stretch the folds - they straighten out.

Please note that if the tulle is made from 100% cotton, then after washing it can shrink slightly. While it is wet it can be tried slightly to smooth out, and it will get its former shape.
