How to make a 3D card yourself?

Is it possible to make a postcard so that it not only pleased, but also surprised? Of course, perhaps the most important thing is to create creatively and have a little patience. Today I want to propose to make a postcard with a "secret". Probably everyone remembers how in childhood these "secrets" were created with enthusiasm and how exciting was to find such a surprise? So let's go back to childhood and try to create a miracle from ordinary things. Next, I'll tell you how to make a 3D postcard from paper with your own hands.

Postcard with a secret - a master class

Necessary tools and materials:

Performance:

  1. Cut out the cardboard and paper parts of the right size.
  2. Next, we will immediately prepare the decorations - we will paste pictures and inscriptions onto the substrate and cut off the excess. The substrate is not mandatory, but it creates the effect of multiple layers, and this, in turn, ennobles the work.
  3. Before you glue and stitch the details do not forget to create a composition, because it will be extremely difficult to change something.
  4. Alternately, sew all the details to the paper, and then the finished cover to the base.
  5. Brades in the corners of the pictures will complement the overall look.
  6. Just immediately sew the paper to the back of the base and add decorations to taste.

It's time to proceed to the design of the middle, which will become a "highlight":

  1. Immediately we'll cut the paper.
  2. Now we will prepare the details of our secret box.
  3. We make the creasing at the folding places - for this you can use not only a special wand, but also a handle of a simple teaspoon.
  4. We glue the box, first making a cut for the lid.
  5. We point out the cuts in the center of the paper and, making slits, insert and paste the "wings".
  6. Inside the box you can make a picture or paste an inscription with wishes.
  7. In the finishing stroke, decorate the cap of the box and its walls with strips of scrap paper, and then insert the lid into the slot and unfold the "wings", thereby preventing it from falling out.

I think the result will not leave anyone indifferent, because it's so unusual to find a bulky box with a secret inside a flat postcard. This 3D postcard, made by yourself, will be a perfect addition to the birthday present , corporate and even a wedding!
