Hemorrhagic gastritis is an inflammation that affects the upper layer of the gastric mucosa. Such a disease is accompanied by gastric bleeding, since erosion and flat manifestations are formed in the stomach. In most cases, the inflammatory process does not extend to the deep layers of the mucous, so when healing, scarring does not remain.
Causes and symptoms of hemorrhagic gastritis
Hemorrhagic gastritis can occur in acute or chronic form. Acute damage to the stomach develops due to chemical or mechanical damage, and chronic - as a result of alcohol abuse or long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The causes of hemorrhagic gastritis can also be severe poisoning and infectious diseases.
The clinical picture of this disease is similar in many respects to the course of gastritis. The patient is:
- nausea;
- heartburn;
- strong salivation;
- flatulence ;
- pain in the epigastric region;
- rumbling in the abdomen.
The main distinguishing feature of the disease is the admixture of blood in the vomit. But sometimes gastric bleeding is only internal. In this case, the patient does not vomit. The characteristic symptoms of hemorrhagic gastritis are:
- pallor of the skin;
- tachycardia ;
- dyspnea;
- weakness;
- dizziness;
- liquid tarry stool.
Treatment of hemorrhagic gastritis
During treatment of hemorrhagic gastritis necessarily use antisecretory drugs, for example, Nolpaz or Ranitidine. They help to reduce the level of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which allows for a short period of time to reduce the inflammatory process.
To stop gastric bleeding, coagulant preparations are prescribed. These include:
- Vikasol;
- Etamsylate;
- Aminocaproic acid.
To treat hemorrhagic gastritis can be used and folk remedies.
