Let's start creating our decoration step by step:

  1. Cut from the satin ribbon four lengths of about 5-6 cm. One of the ends of each rectangle needs to be cut with scissors in the form of an angle. After this, the edges of the tape angle should be gently stuck together towards the wrong side. After the glue dries out, turn the corner so that the shape of the petal forms. It remains only to connect the lower corners between them, directing them to the front side. Perform three more of the same "petals".
  2. When all the "petals" are dry, connect them with glue as shown in the photo - two blanks on each side. We get the wings of the future dragonfly in Kansas technique.
  3. We will make the body of a graceful insect. Cut off 2 strips of wire 10 cm long. They need to be joined together by twisting the two ends. At the very edge of the need to make a bundle. The remaining two ends of the wires are left free.
  4. We string 10-14 beads through both wires. Then, at the very end, we put on each large wire one large bead. Tight fix the ends of the wires. We got a body.
  5. We collect dragonfly from beads and ribbons. Attach to the place of gluing the wings of the body of beads. In addition, the dragonfly can be decorated with rings of shiny thin ribbon, beads, glued on wings, etc.
  6. The resulting craft can be easily used to create a dragonfly hair clip Kanzashi or decorate the hair rim. The product should be simply glued to the hair accessory.

Similarly, in the Kansas technique you can make a beautiful butterfly .
