To skiing was only a pleasure, you need to think through everything from the model of skis to the cover in which you will wear them. So, we sew a cover for skis with our own hands.
We will need:
- dense fabric (preferably treated with a water-repellent compound);
- lining fabric;
- snap fasteners;
- sewing machine;
- scissors.
- We will begin sewing a cover for skis with the construction of a pattern. Then transfer all the patterns to the fabric and carefully cut out the details.
- The two greatest details are sewn to two oval ones. Sew the straps at the same angle (about 30 degrees).
- Strengthen the belts with a few lines, pay special attention to the middle part and the place where they are sewn into the cover. Attach the snap hooks.
- Cut out the lining for the cover, using the same patterns. Sew between the lining and fabric zipper. Make sure that the fabric does not protrude from the zipper.
- Sew a fabric with a lining, preliminary having fixed its pins for simplification of work. On the outer contour of the cover make a kant. It is better to use a dense fabric of contrasting color. Kant not only serves as a decoration for the cover, but also protects it from abrasion.
- It remains only to sew the upper part to the cover, cut off all sticking threads and turn it to the front side. The result of your work will be appreciated by lovers of active winter recreation.
As you can see, it's not so difficult to make a durable, comfortable and unusual ski bag with your own hands, but it will last for more than one year.
