The sanderberry plant belongs to the family of Solanaceae and is a perennial tree of small dimensions, reaching a height of up to 1.5 m. How to plant sanberry?

The plant is unpretentious, so growing it is simple enough. But in order to properly implement the process, you need to consider the following points:

  1. Site selection . Sunberry can be grown on almost all types of soil. But it is desirable that it is not acidic, as this will reduce the yield of the plant. An additional advantage is the introduction of manure into the soil. The berry combines well with such crops as zucchini and cucumbers. Planting can be carried out on the beds where the vegetables were grown in the previous year, or planting sanberries at the same time. However, the berry grows poorly among eggplants, tomatoes, peppers and potatoes. Also the site should be protected from wind and drafts.
  2. Growing sprouts . The optimal term for sowing seeds is the end of winter - the beginning of spring. They are pre-prepared, for which they are placed in a solution of potassium permanganate for 20 minutes, and then washed under running water. After this, the seeds are germinated. To do this, they cut and hold for two days in a moist environment (on a cloth soaked with water). Seeds are planted in a container with soil mixture and good drainage to a depth of 0.5 cm. Seedlings are grown for about three months at room temperature, occasionally watering.
  3. Cultivation of sandberry in the open ground . At the end of May - beginning of June, when all frosts cease, seedlings are planted. The seedlings are placed at a distance of 70 cm from each other. During growth and fruiting, sanberry should be fertilized at least twice by the mullein.

Thus, with some effort, you can grow this useful crop on your site.
