There is information that at such gatherings, initiation into witches takes place, and mortals have the opportunity to sell their soul to Satan. The signal for the coven is distributed by the Devil not earlier than 49 hours before the start. Only the initiated can hear this call. If someone disobeys and does not appear at the meeting, then his Satan damns and punishes.
Usually the Sabbath passes on Bald Mountain - a hill with a huge glade on top. Around the open area is a dense forest, so that no one can get there.
