Brisbane Garden

Brisbane is the capital of the Australian state of Queensland, and also the third largest city on the mainland. But it is notable even by this, but by the fact that it houses an amazing botanical garden. Brisbane is located at the mouth of the river, so its landscape is incredibly diverse, and the flora and fauna is still full of rare representatives.

What to see?

Brisbane Botanical Garden annually attracts thousands of visitors. Basically, these are families with children, and this is completely justified, because there will be entertainment not only for children, but also for adults. The park is rich in the most beautiful and rare plants, both for this area and for the whole world.

The Botanical Garden was created primarily in order to acquaint guests of Brisbane with plants and animals of Australia , so convenient navigation was invented. The reserve is divided into several parts, each of which is dedicated to a certain part of the world and plants "living" there brought from their homeland. But the climate here is not always suitable for them, therefore park keepers did their best to make them feel "at home" here. Some of them are under a dome or roof, which protect them from wind, bright sun rays and other unusual manifestations of nature.

The Brisbane Botanical Garden consists of several expositions:

  1. Tropical Pavilion. Here the plants "live" under the dome, whose diameter is 30 meters, and the height - 9 meters. A visit to this pavilion will please everyone, this is a real tropical jungle with amazing plants.
  2. Japanese garden. The style of this decorative park completely corresponds to medieval Japan. Here you will get acquainted with tea trees and stroll along the Sakura alley. A more eastern place is not found in all of Australia.
  3. Pavilion of the Bonsai. Here everyone can see amazing trees, the highlight of which is not a lush crown or a huge trunk, but a miniature. Where else can you touch dozens of species on top of their crown. You will feel like a real giant, among the unusual trees.
  4. Herbal Garden. Agree that such an exhibition is not always found in other parks. Visiting it you will see the most beautiful and fantastic herbs, and also learn interesting facts about them.

This is just the smallest pavilions that you can visit in the Brisbane Botanical Garden. For the fact that this park has become a favorite place for children, there are trails for small tourists. Walking along them will bring a lot of pleasure - they are filled with surprises and "forest" entertainment. Children will feel themselves in the jungle with kind and hospitable inhabitants.

It will be unfair to forget about the mansions of the park, the multitude of birds and animals. They are so fond of this place that 40 years ago it was necessary to expand the territory for their comfort on 52 hectares. Park rangers artificially create conditions for them to inhabit, so that animals can feel themselves safe.

How to get there?

The Brisbane Botanical Garden is a 20-minute drive from the city center, so it's easiest to get there by car. In addition, there is free parking, where you can leave the car. The entrance to the park is located near the Mt Coot-tha. On working days it is allowed to drive in the park by car.
