Unexpected recognition of Maya

On the life of Freddie before his death it was impossible to look without tears. In the Sunday Times edition, Brian spoke frankly about the difficult period of Mercury's life and the constant pains experienced by the performer. Here are the words in the interview:

"I knew that Freddie was not feeling well. He sometimes complained of the severe pains that prevailed against him. Most of all he was troubled by a leg, or rather a wound that did not heal. He was constantly with nurses, but the treatment did not help. One day I came to visit him at his house. And, unexpectedly for me, Freddie showed me his foot. He was cut off almost the entire foot. I think, at that moment, I had such horror in my eyes that Freddie was frightened for me. He began to apologize, saying: "Brian, excuse me. I did not think that such a picture would upset you so much. " I, as now, I remember at that moment my condition. The only thing I could say then was words of sympathy and understanding. "

After that, 69-year-old ex-guitarist of the band Queen said these words:

"I'm very sorry that Freddie could not hold out for at least a few more years. When in the middle of the nineties it became known that the medicine developed supporting drugs from AIDS, I shed tears. Accepting them, he could live a very long time. Unfortunately, it did not happen".

Frank Mercury Interview

In 1986, the media first appeared news that the singer is sick with AIDS, but Freddie refuted this information. After 3 years that the singer will soon die, it became clear from the appearance of Mercury: he lost weight, began to move badly on the stage and it was difficult for him to give concerts. On November 23, 1991 the singer made a short statement in which he told about the illness:

"I noticed that lately everyone is talking about the fact that I'm sick with HIV. It's true. I have AIDS. I hid this information for a long time, so that my friends and relatives do not worry, but now I do not see the point in this. I hope that many of you will understand that it is necessary to fight AIDS. Only together we can stop this terrible disease. "

The next day after the statement the performer died in his mansion in London. By the way, in spite of the fact that there were no corresponding preparations for AIDS yet, doctors, nevertheless, offered some schemes. However, Freddie decided not to use the services of professional medics and gave himself at the disposal of palliative medicine, which consisted in good care of the patient and constant micro-operations, carried out with the help of strong narcotic and anesthetic substances.
