Goloson is an international airport in Honduras , in the department of Atlantis. It is located in the city of La Ceiba , so it is often called the airport of La Ceiba. It is also known as Baz Hector S. Moncada.
Basic information about the airport
Although the airport has international status, for the most part it serves domestic flights - to the islands of Roatan and Guanaha , to the cities of San Pedro Sula , Tegucigalpa , Trujillo .
There are also international flights: to Grand Cayman, to Belize, Mexico, El Salvador, Canada and several US cities. Serves the airport and charter flights.

- Atlantic Airlines de Honduras;
- Aerolineas Sosa;
- IslenaAirlines.
The only international company that operates flights to Goloson is Cayman Airways. The airport has one runway with an asphalt covering length of 3010 and a width of 45 m - this is the longest runway in Honduras. Goloson is not only a passenger, but also a military airport, as well as a cargo airport. Loads from here go to Miami.

Airport Goloson has a modern terminal, in which the passengers are provided with a standard list of services:- waiting hall;

- parking for 141 places near the terminal.
Not far from the airport is an inexpensive but cozy hotel.
Transport connection
From the airport you can go by bus or taxi, parking is located right next to the terminal. To move around the city, the rates are fixed. If you want to travel from La Ceiba to another city, it is better to discuss the cost of the trip with the driver in advance. In the terminal there are several car rental companies - Hertz, Avis, Interamericana, Molinari and Maya are working here.
