Indonesia annually arrives masses of tourists eager to enjoy a paradise on the beaches of Bali with visits to interesting places - ancient temples and majestic volcanoes. Naturally, everyone is interested in the process of issuing a visa to Indonesia and the question of whether it is needed at all, since the laws in this matter have changed somewhat since 2015.
How to apply for a visa to Indonesia?
Since 2015, the government of the country, in order to attract even more guests, has simplified the visa regime. So, for Russians a visa to Indonesia will not be needed, but only on the condition that your stay here will not last more than thirty days.
You can now apply for a visa directly at the entrance to the country - right at the airport or at one of the checkpoints. This will take only a few minutes. To make everything go quickly and smoothly, you need to immediately tag along with the following documents:
- Passport, effective for at least six months with a clean spread;
- tickets back to their home country or to a third country;
- confirmation of the reservation of a hotel room or money in the necessary quantity.
You will pay a small visa fee of $ 35 or in Indonesian rupees. If you plan to stay in Indonesia for only a week, you will pay a fee of $ 15. Also, in the process of issuing a visa, you fill out a form that you need to keep until the end of the trip.
When everything is successfully passed, you will paste a sticker in your passport and put a stamp that is valid for 1 month or a week, respectively, for the paid fee.
The visa can be extended for another thirty days, for which you need to contact the Immigration Service in Indonesia one week before the end of your first stay. The cost of this service is 30 dollars.
Russians can arrange not only a tourist, but also a transit, social and working visa.
Visa to Indonesia for Ukrainians and Belarusians
For Ukrainians and Belarusians, unlike Russian citizens, it will be necessary to issue a visa. It can be tourist, working, guest or business. To obtain a visa, you need to prepare such documents:
- completed questionnaire;
- a passport with at least six months' validity;
- color photo 3x4 cm;
- confirmation of hotel reservation;
- two way tickets;
- invitation letter for a guest visa;
- the birth certificate, as well as the permission of the second parent for the transportation of minors;
- an invitation from Indonesian firms for business or work visas.
Payment for the visa fee for the Belarusians is $ 36, for citizens of Ukraine - $ 45.
