How to choose a tool for markup?
There are several elementary methods of work that you can gradually master for yourself, and choose the most convenient option. So, to choose the tool for marking is easier than all by a trial method, as here it is impossible to find a compromise without practice:
- Perhaps the simplest tool for marking is a kapron cord. With the help of a tape measure it is stretched to the necessary distance and fixed with pegs. The method is simple, but it is still quite active today.
- There is an interesting tool for marking holes, very similar to the compasses. In fact, these are two sticks with a small cross-section, connected at the top by articulation. With this tool for marking holes, we note not only the distance between beds, but also do something like an incision in the places of future holes.
- A marking tool called kravruchka is also actively used in our summer cottages. These are two wheels located on one axis. To the wheels themselves, or rather their rims, attach the marker pins. When working with this tool, the inter-wheel width gives us the beds' axes, and the dents after the wheel give us the marking of the holes. The main advantage of this tool lies in one moment: depending on the location of the marker on the rim of the wheels, we can get a symmetrical or chess arrangement of the holes. For pair marking of the holes we fix the markers at the same level, if we fix one pin at the upper point and the second one at the bottom, we get the chess order. There are options and with one wheel, on the outer edge of it several markers at once.
