We forget that the first lady is obliged to observe not only the dress code and look worthy of her status, but to be as close to the people as possible. My work, clothes are too expensive and are not designed to perform such tasks.
The journalist of the tabloid The View asked Tom Ford to comment on the situation with the presentation of the dress to Michelle Obama in 2011 for a gala dinner in Buckingham Palace with Queen Elizabeth. The designer noted that he sometimes makes exceptions and believes that in the situation of receiving the establishment of the two states, the choice of his dress was more than justified.
