And if earlier on the first pages of the newspaper there were photos with glamorous celebrities in chic outfits, now the matter has come to scandals. In the center of trouble was the lawyer Amal Clooney, who offended the famous designer Tom Ford with his unexpected decision.
Amal changed her mind about wearing Ford's dress
On the red carpet Met Gala-2018, whose theme this year was "Divine bodies: fashion and the Catholic imagination", Mrs. Clooney appeared in an interesting outfit from the Fashion House Richard Quinn. The image was really gorgeous, but initially Amal was supposed to demonstrate a very different dress. From insider information it became known that for the appearance on the red carpet of the Met Gala-2018, Clooney representatives were negotiating with the designer Tom Ford and agreed with him that he would create an outfit for this event. So it was done, and at the appointed time the representatives of this brand brought the dress to the event. Despite the preliminary agreement and to the great surprise of Ford, Amal went on the red carpet not in his creation. What caused this behavior of the lawyer is still unclear, but Kluni refused to comment on her actions.
In fact, it happens that celebrities change their decision and at the last moment do not choose the work of famous couturiers. However, in the case of Amal, the situation is somewhat different, because the lawyer from the dress to the end did not refuse. As soon as the official part of Met Gala-2018 died down, Clooney took off the floral creation of the Richard Quinn brand and donned Tom Ford's dress, appearing in it afterparty. This was not the case in the history of the fashion world! The manager of public relations Ford decided to comment on this situation:
"We really love Amal Clooney and hoped that on the red carpet she would wear our dress. However, the celebrity changed her mind, not having voiced any reasons. Sometimes it happens, but then some other star can wear a dress. Unfortunately, Amal violated this rule by appearing on the afterparty event in our creation. We did not create it for Cluny to have fun at him at the party, but for the celebrity to decorate the red carpet in the dress. "

Ford and Amal do not comment on what happened
Despite the fact that from the designers' point of view the scandal with the dress is a rather serious thing, the couturier Tom Ford himself declined to comment. The same thing was done by Amal Clooney, who does not believe that she made a mistake, trying on one evening several exclusive dresses. What will end this scandal - can only guess, but we hope that everything will be resolved peacefully.
