Any household appliances ever breaks down, and a microwave is no exception. Over time, there can be problems of a different nature: the oven can spark , hum, do not respond to the pressing of buttons. But what if the microwave does not heat or work at all, but it does not heat well?
The microwave stopped warming - what should I do?
There are several reasons for this:
- low voltage in the network or inability to transfer voltage from the transformer to the control panel;
- blown fuse of the casing, transformer or mains;
- malfunction of a doubler or a through capacitor;
- coming out and building an electromagnetic lamp;
- the microwave door switch is defective.
Each of these faults has its solution. Sometimes the best option is to turn over the equipment to repair, where specialists will diagnose, determine the source of the problem and qualitatively eliminate it. This should be resorted to if the microwave model is an expensive and well-known brand (LG, Samsung). And if she has not yet expired the warranty period, then just take her to a master who will repair your oven if not for free, then at a reduced cost.
But in some situations, especially if your furnace is from the budget and has long served its own, you can try to figure out the problem on your own. To do this, refer to the operating instructions for your oven model. So, what can you do yourself:
- check the level of the mains voltage;
- De-energize the device and use an ohmmeter to diagnose the switch on the door and the high-voltage fuse in the casing;
- check the tester for the correctness of the doublers - the diode and the capacitor;
- to estimate the primary winding of the capacitor for voltage (in norm it equals 220 V);
- conduct a visual inspection of the connections of the magnetron with power terminals, induction filter coils and a through capacitor for their integrity;
- Testing the resistance on the lamp filament (2-3 ohms).

What if the new microwave does not heat?
Sometimes it happens like this: when you buy a new microwave oven, you come home, turn it on and find that it does not work or works badly. The only reasonable advice in this case is to go back to the store and hand it over the check or exchange it for another. To struggle for the repair of a new microwave oven that does not heat, it makes no sense, because by law you are required to replace a defective device within 2 weeks of purchase.
