Mildronate in Sports
Mildronate knows a wide range of athletes, because by its action this drug is universal. Its active ingredient is meldonium (trimethylhydrazinium propionate), which was synthesized only in the 1970s. The remedy immediately became widespread in the medical environment and in sports. The whole secret lies in the very useful properties of the drug. The fact that mildronate is able to improve the metabolism at the cellular level, due to which the decay products are withdrawn much faster, and energy resources are restored in the shortest time, even after quite strong loads of any plan - both power and endurance . For athletes, this remedy is simply irreplaceable, because if the body quickly restores, then the next workout results will be even higher!
Mildronate: application
To date, produced mildronate in two forms - either in capsules for oral administration, or in ampoules for intravenous injections. It is proved that if we use the second method, the effectiveness of the drug will be twice as high, which, incidentally, is not surprising, because it comes directly into the blood.
As a rule, athletes are prescribed the following dosages:
- capsules (0.25 g) are recommended to take 0.5 - 2 g per day, usually 1 gram, that is 4 capsules;
- ampoules (5 ml each) are recommended to take 5-10 ml per day.
These dosages are the average figure that athletes usually recommend. If you have other indications for the use of Mildronate, there is a possibility that the amount of the drug you need is different.
Mildronate: Side Effects
It is recommended to take this medication in the morning, as there may be side effects:
