The eyes of a dog
First of all, pay attention to the color and abundance of secretions from the eyes. If it is transparent, in small quantities "tears", then there are no special reasons for concern. For some breeds ( poodles , lapdogs, Yorkshire terriers and some others) this is even quite normal. But if the lacrimation is abundant, with wet paths all over the muzzle - this is already an excuse for visiting a veterinarian. In this case, the cause may be a violation of the mechanism of outflow of tears or in hyperfunction of lacrimal glands.
A special reason for anxiety, if the dog is strongly watered eyes, and the discharge is thick with a greenish tinge. Such purulent discharge from the eyes can be harbingers of serious diseases - conjunctivitis, plague, helminthic invasion.
