Economic and political perturbations of recent decades, could not but affect the system of spiritual and moral values. Were re-interpreted such concepts as good and evil, honesty and decency, a sense of patriotism and religious beliefs. And what is most interesting, many even questioned the advisability of vaccinating a child with such "dubious" qualities. However, time has shown and proved that without a spiritual and moral upbringing, society can not develop either economically or culturally.

Therefore, as before, the issue of spiritual and moral upbringing of the younger generation is on the agenda, both among parents and teachers.

The concept of spiritual and moral education

It is necessary to teach and educate a child from early childhood, when his character is formed, his attitude towards parents and peers, when he realizes himself and his role in society. It is during this period in the process of education that the foundations of spiritual and moral values ​​are laid, on which the child will grow as a complete and mature personality.

The task of the older generation is to inculcate and develop in the minds of young people:

• individual-personal values, such as human life, honor, dignity;
• family values , such as respect and respect for family traditions, parents;
• national values. In this regard, the concept of spiritual and moral education of young people encompasses a wider range of generally accepted behavioral norms and concepts: love of the Motherland and culture, a sense of patriotism and unity with society, respect for and reverence for national sacred objects, and much more.

Methods and features of the spiritual and moral education of students

An important role in the spiritual and moral education of adolescents has a school. Here, children get the first life experience of communication with different people, face the first difficulties. For many, school is the first and, perhaps, unrequited love . At this stage, the task of teachers is to help the younger generation with dignity to get out of the difficult situation, to realize the problem and find the right ways to solve it. Conduct an explanatory conversation, demonstrate by own example good nature and responsiveness, show what honor and responsibility are - these are the main methods of spiritual and moral education of youth. Teachers should also pay special attention to the cultural development of adolescents, introduce them to national shrines, instilling pride and love for their power.

However, this does not mean that parents are completely removed from responsibility for the spiritual and moral upbringing of their children, because it is known that family education is the foundation that lays the basis for the future personality.
