A lot of folk customs and traditions are associated with July 25, but not everyone knows what holiday is celebrated on this day. According to the church canon, this number is dedicated to the memory of the great martyrs Proclus and Ilaria, who lived in the second century and were faithful followers of the teachings of Christ. For this they were persecuted and suffered many adversities. In the end, both were executed by order of Emperor Maxim when they refused to renounce their faith and accept paganism. But people have not forgotten about the feat of saints, which means that their death was not in vain.

And girls and women such a simple procedure allowed to become painted beauties. Rosu was collected in special tunes and used as a healing agent. It was also customary to tear away useful herbs that day - they were full of magical moisture, and they could be used to make effective drugs. But hay was not harvested on this day - otherwise it will necessarily rot.
On this day the peasants also closely watched the weather. Many of the weather signs of our ancestors remained relevant to this day. For example, if the fog does not hang in the morning, wait for the rain in the evening. If the dew is thick and a dense gray slurry vibrates in the air, the day will be sunny. Hear many-voiced bees buzz - be hot, and this in turn heralds a warm autumn. And if it goes to Procla rain - and the off-season will be wet, and the winter is snowy. If the day is very cold, the winter frosts will be strong.
