Before you start building a house, you should take care of building a fence for it. It is very important that the fence that protects the property from unnecessary looks and uninvited guests is reliable, durable and, importantly, well combined with the surrounding landscape.
The modern market offers a wide range of materials for erecting a protective barrier of the yard. One of the most optimal, affordable and practical options is a colored corrugated board, in other words a metal profile. This coating is quite strong and resistant to aggressive environment, has a high level of reliability and perfectly protects from prying eyes. In addition, the corrugated sheet looks rather elegant and concise. Particularly pleased with the fact that such material does not require special care, provides good noise insulation, and most importantly, it has quite affordable price.
Since the corrugated board is easily mounted, it is not difficult to install a fence from it. It is enough to stock up with high-quality building materials, to adopt the technical rules of erection and you can start working. In our master class we will show you how to put a beautiful fence with your own hands from a painted metal profile. For this we used:
- colored metal profile C8;
- metal posts in the sizes 60х60х3х3000 mm;
- Transverse lags with dimensions of 40x25x2x6000;
- ruberoid (or tubes for holes);
- roofing screws;
- stub posts;
- welding;
- concrete grade M250;
- hand drill;
- metal primer ;
- roller;
- roulette;
- metal pegs;
- level;
- a thread.
How to build a fence with your own hands from the corrugated board?
- Before starting work, we are preparing the territory. We remove unnecessary garbage and delete the old construction.
- Next, measure the perimeter of the land that needs to be fenced off. At the corners of the perimeter we set metal pegs and pull the thread between them. This will help to distribute the posts more accurately.
- Then we make a marking for the installation of metal pipes as a support for our fencing. The pitch between the supports is 2 m.
- In places of the mark for support with a hand drill we drill in the ground holes with a diameter of 200 mm and a dyne of 1 m, since a third of the entire long column will be dug in.
- We prepare the concrete solution. To do this, we dilute the loose mixture with water in a concrete mixer in proportion of 1 part water to 1 part cement.
- We put into the hole a hole for the holes. We drive into the hole a pillar and fill it with a ready-made concrete mix. Use the level to make sure that the post is perfectly straight.
- We close the edges of the pillars with plugs, so that they do not get precipitation.
- Since we are planning to build a fence with our own hands no higher than 2 meters, we need to mount to the posts two parallel lags. To make the structure more rigid and sturdy, lags to the posts and each other are fixed by welding.
- To our fence, built by our own hands, did not damage the corrosion, before installing the metal profile, we paint the resulting frame with a metal primer with a roller.
- The final stage of installation of the fence with our own hands is the installation of a metal profile to both logs. Using a screwdriver we attach the corrugated board with self-tapping screws of the same color to both logs with a step of 30-35 cm. We splice the material into a minimum of 1-2 "waves".
- At the end of construction work, we free the territory from debris and wipe the fence surface from dust.
- We made such a beautiful fence with our own hands without the help of a team of specialists.
