Scrapbooking technique is an old kind of needlework, the result of which are colorful original family or children's albums , frames, packaging boxes and gift cards. This technique is so clear and multifaceted that postcards in the style of scrapbooking are effective even for a small child who has learned how to make applications and make collages of scraps.
To make postcards by hand, scrapbooking requires special paper sold in sets for this type of needlework, decorative elements (beads, pieces of fabric, beads, rhinestones, laces, clips, buttons, etc.), glue, threads.
The following simple simple master class details how to make a postcard in the scrapbooking technique. Shall we proceed?
We will need:
- tapes, braid;
- white cardboard;
- paper for scrapbooking of four kinds;
- decorative elements (buttons, beads, paper flowers, crystals);
- thread;
- carnations-brothers;
- scissors, glue;
- pencil, ruler.
For beginners, a scrapbooking technique will be easier to do with a sketch map:
- Cut out two blanks from scrap paper of different colors. The size of the first - 11x20 centimeters, the second - 10x20 centimeters. On the first workpiece we conduct, having retreated on 1 centimeter from the edge, a line. Then we glue both blanks so that we have a square with a side of 20 centimeters.
- Sew the sheets carefully on the line, fixing the end of the thread from the inside of the glue. Before hand stitching it is better to mark the puncture points and pierce them with an awl. Then, from the cardboard, we cut out the substrate and three blanks 7x13, 8x10 and 8x16 from scrap paper. On the basis of lay out all the blanks, overlapping them with each other. Do not use glue yet, so that you can adjust the placement.
- The volume of our card will give a substrate of cardboard or glue pillows under each workpiece. Do not forget to remove air bubbles! Corner postcards to your liking, decorate with decorative elements. It is important not to overdo it with their quantity, so that the article does not look lurking and overloaded.
- The lower part of our postcard is made out by a card affixed with carnations-brothers and squares of 2x2 centimeters with decorative elements.
- In the lower left corner we paste an oval into which we will later enter the title of the postcard, and the main part, where we place the tex with wishes, is decorated with a decorative figured corner. Original scrap-card is ready!

Children's postcard
What can be more pleasant for a grandmother than for a birthday, a new year or Easter, get a child's card from scribbling in the scrapbooking technique? Help the child make such an original and beautiful gift, providing it with a set for scrapbooking and a prepared workplace (good lighting, a box for small parts).
We need:
- cardboard;
- double sided tape;
- confetti;
- hole puncher;
- glue;
- bead;
- paper flower;
- openwork paper.
- A sheet of violet cardboard is bent in half, and inside we glue the white openwork paper on which the text will be written later.
- On the front side of the card, paste the openwork paper to the middle. Then at the bottom along the entire postcard we paste the braid, and in the center - a printed pattern with a picture. Corner of the template is decorated with a paper flower with a bead in the center. The edges of the template are greased with glue and sprinkled with confetti. When the glue dries, gently blow off the remnants of confetti.
