To make bread according to this recipe, we need a rye starter for bread without yeast. You can find a lot of options for its preparation, you can use absolutely any. As you already noticed, in the ingredients, in addition to rye flour, there is also wheat flour. This is necessary in order for the bread maker to cope with the knead alone. After all, if you cook 100% rye bread, the dough becomes too viscous when kneaded, and the device can not collect it in a solid lump. You can either help the device during the batch, picking the mass from the sides with the help of a spatula, or you can cook rye-wheat bread in a bread brewer, replacing a portion of rye wheat flour. In the latter case, the device will cope with the mix yourself and your help will not be needed. When preparing bread from rye flour only, the amount of leaven must be increased by about one and a half times, reducing the amount of water accordingly.

Let's also note that bread making is necessary for bread making , which allows setting the mode individually, since standard programs are suitable only for classic yeast baking.
