Prayer to Saint Boniface from drunkenness

Holy Vonifati is the first saint to whom people who want to get rid of drunkenness, or close to those who were captivated by this serpent, turn. Vonifati was able to repent of his sins and received forgiveness from God.

The Story of Saint Boniface

Vonifati was a slave to a noble Roman. Together they indulged in debauchery and had a special passion for drinking. So many years have passed, and although both have been tormented by perfect sins, none of them has found the strength to abandon the past depraved lifestyle .

The mistress of Vonifatia learned that the relics of holy people can help get rid of low-lying addictions. She sent Vonifatiya after them to the neighboring town.

On the way, Vonifati repented, spent all his journey in prayers and tears, asking God to send him a trial, a torment in which he can atone for his guilt.

God heard Boniface. Unfortunate upon his arrival to the relics, he died a martyr's death for his faith in the Most High.

Since then, the prayers of Saint Boniface from drunkenness are considered the most effective, because Vonifati became a protector and patron of drunks and fornicators.

How to pray to Saint Boniface?

Before asking Vonifatiya to get rid of drunkenness in prayers, ask the priest to bless you on this matter. If you are going to ask God about getting rid of son's drunkenness, address the words of the mother's prayer and ask the priest also to pray to the Almighty.

If, in prayer for drinking from the Holy Woofat, you ask him for your salvation, may the holy father give his blessing to this difficult undertaking and pray to God for your soul.

To get rid of alcoholism, you will need to pray from 40 days to 40 weeks, because the disease that incinerate both souls and bodies of millions of people around the world in a day can not be defeated.

Saint Boniface will help not only to cure drunkenness, but also to strengthen one's faith in God, and in one's own strength.

Prayer to Saint Boniface

Oh, all-holy Woniphate, merciful servant of the Mercy of the Lord! Hear those who come to you, obsessed with addiction to wine drinking, and, as in your earthly life you have never refused to help those who ask, so now, deliver those unfortunates (names). Once, a wise father, hail broke your vineyard, you, thanking God, ordered the few remaining grooves to rest in the winepress and call the beggars. Then, taking a new wine, you poured it drop by drop into all the vessels that were in the bishopric, and God, performing the prayer of the merciful, accomplished a glorious miracle: the wine in the winepress multiplied, and the beggars filled their vessels. O Holy of God! As by your prayer the wine has multiplied for the needs of the church and for the benefit of the miserable, so you, the blessed one, reduce it now where it harms, save from addiction to it, give up the shameful passion of wine-drinking (names), heal them from a grievous illness, demonic temptation, affirm them, weak, give them, the infirm, fortress and strength of goodness to hastily endure this temptation, return them to a healthy and sober life, direct them to the path of labor, invest in them the desire for sobriety and spiritual vivacity. Help them, the saint of God, Boniface, when the thirst of wine will burn their throats, destroy their fatal desire, refresh their mouth with heavenly coolness, enlighten their eyes, put their feet on the rock of faith and hope so that, leaving their soul-craving, entailing excommunication from Heavenly Kingdom, they, established in piety, were awarded unprepossessing peaceful demise and in the eternal light of the infinite Kingdom of Glory worthily glorified our Lord Jesus Christ with his original Father and with the Holy and life-giving Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.
