Portfolio of first-graders

The status of the first grader obliges the child to be disciplined and consistent, he must be able to talk about his achievements and successes, analyze them and strive for new heights. In order to make it easier for the child to systematize cause-effect relationships and track the dynamics of his development, experts recommend that the entire first academic year fill the so-called portfolio.

What is a portfolio?

When it comes to portfolio, we present a collection of the best works that serve as an advertising booklet for people of creative professions, for example, designers, photographers. As for the portfolio for a first-grade boy or girl, this is a collection of certain information about the baby, his character, hobbies, relatives and first achievements. In short, objective information, which the child himself deems necessary to tell others.

How to make a portfolio of a first-grader?

Many parents will think that the design of the portfolio will be a new extra burden for the baby. But if you thoroughly understand and compare the time spent with the goals pursued, it turns out that doing this kind of work will only benefit a small student. Already the option of design assumes a huge field for creativity.

A portfolio for a first-grader girl or boy can be done using pre-made templates. This, the so-called colorful album of achievements, which can be purchased at the store. If you use ready-made templates, the child will only have to make basic information about himself and, if desired, supplement the publication with personal photos and drawings. Of course, before you fill out the portfolio, it is better to ask in advance about the requirements and preferences of the class teacher, because in many schools certain design standards are introduced.

However, much more interesting and original will be the album-portfolio, made by own hands. Colorful pictures, scissors, paper, glue and album sheets - with the help of handy tools you can make a unique creation that can be safely put in the category of baby achievements.

However, regardless of the way of production, the portfolio of the first-grader should include the main sections:

  1. Title page. Basic information about the baby: name, name of the institution, contact information, photos - must be present in this section.
  2. My world. Here the kid should tell about his family, friends, hobbies, and most importantly - about himself. That is, a child can make up his personal characteristics and tell about his vision of the surrounding reality.
  3. Goals. A remarkable section that will allow you to clearly and correctly formulate your main goals. And most importantly, throughout the school year will serve as an incentive for further development.
