Using gipsokartonnyh plates - a modern and convenient solution for repair. After this finishing of the walls, you should get a perfectly flat surface, on which there are small flaws, namely: the hats of screws, as well as the joints between the slabs. To eliminate them, plasterboard plaster is used.
Preparing for finishing with plasterboard plasterboard
In fact, since there are no obvious problems requiring plaster filling on the wall surface, then the plastering of the walls is reduced to coating small flaws and applying a thin finish layer. Plastering of walls from gypsum cardboard for painting or wallpaper is made with the use of special compounds designed for this purpose. The first stage is preparatory:
- We ground the surface of the plasterboard and let it dry. Primer will make the adhesion of plasterboard with putty and plaster more durable.
- We check all the places where the screws are screwed. If the hats protrude above the wall surface, then they need to be screwed. At the junctions, we cut the factory chamfer a little, so that the filler composition penetrates the seam better.
Plastering on plasterboard
- All the seams and joints between the slabs are glued with a special mesh on the adhesive basis - a serpent. It will protect the putty from cracking and help it stay in the seams.
- We spread the putty mixture in accordance with the instructions on the package.
- We cover the seams between the slabs so that the layer completely covers the depression, but so that it barely covers the net. Hats from screws cut the cross crosswise. The corners are glued alternately on each side.
- After drying the first layer of putty we put the second.
- The final layer is plaster. It is carried out with the same mixture as the putty. A thin layer of it is applied to the entire surface of the walls to make a perfectly flat surface without any blemish. After the layer has dried, the walls are ready for finishing.
