The reason is that the protein of animal food is more like our, human, protein.

Nevertheless, the diet should contain and vegetable protein, because the amino acids in Plant foods are not distributed as in animal products. So, in meat there is a lot of methionine, and in plants it is not enough, but there is lysine.

"Record" on the protein content among plants - it's legumes. Beans, lentils, nuts, seeds should be as frequent as possible guests on your table.
