All internal organs are equipped with nerve endings, which signal to the brain about the presence of a pathological process. This mechanism is responsible for all uncomfortable sensations, including pain in the rectum - the causes of this symptom are usually found in serious diseases of the digestive system, as well as neoplasms of the oncological nature.
Acute pain in the rectum
The described syndrome, accompanied by severe attacks, occurs due to such factors:
- Fissure of the anal passage. In addition, there is a discharge of blood during defecation, prolonged constipation, less often diarrhea.
- Thrombosis of the hemorrhoidal node with its prolapse. Characteristic are also difficulties with bowel movement, severe throbbing pain during walking, taking a sitting position.
- Inflammation of the appendix. Among other signs of appendicitis patients note uncomfortable sensations in the lower abdomen, fever, nausea with vomiting.
Dull pain in the rectum
The reasons for this symptom are:
- Paraproctitis. It occurs due to inflammation of the anal glands, accompanied by a perceptible pulsation in the anus area, an increase in the local temperature.
- The coccidonia. Characterized by back-giving pains in the rectum, which are significantly enhanced by sitting and defecating. The disease develops on the background of mechanical damage, trauma to the tailbone.
- Proctalgia. Pathology is caused by a spasm of smooth muscles of the anus of unknown origin, sometimes its cause is called psychosomatic disorders.
- Single ulcerative formation in the rectum. The ulcerative proctitis with multiple erosions on the mucous membrane also manifests itself. Allocations in this disease have bloody and mucous impregnations.
- Perianal hematoma. It is formed due to a violation of the integrity of the anal anal wall located near the anus, which greatly increases in size, causing swelling.
- Cancer. The disease progresses for a long time without obvious symptoms, after which the patient feels the presence of a painful neoplasm;
