Newspaper tray

From the newspapers you read, you can make a variety of crafts. Most often for these purposes, paper is rolled from the paper. Using them to create crafts, you can achieve the strength of the product. In this MK we suggest you weave a tray of newspaper tubes, in which you can store various small things, magazines and letters.

We will need:

  1. Weave the tray of newspaper tubes with the creation of these very tubes. To do this, twist one large tube from the sheet and flatten it to form a dense strip. Lubricate its end with glue. Such strips will need 21 pieces.
  2. On a flat surface, lay out all the tubes, shifting each second by 4-5 centimeters up. Adding one strip, start to weave a tray of newspaper tubes. Shoulder should be staggered.
  3. The ends of the strips bend upward, and those that are located in the corners, fix with glue, wrapping them around the resulting border. Cut out the excess.
  4. Cut off the cut ends with glue and attach to the edge. Since the tubes are sufficiently dense, we recommend fixing them with clamps. When the glue dries, they can be removed. On this the weaving of the tray from the newspapers is completed, but it looks not very aesthetically pleasing. If you cover it with a layer of brown paint, then the newspapers will not be visible. At first glance, you can not say that it is made not of wood, but of plain paper.

Here is such a wonderful tray you can make with your own hands from newspapers that lie idle.

If you need a more solid tray, we recommend using a sheet of plywood as a base, and weave the sides of the newspaper tubes. The tubes themselves are made easily: paper is wound on a wooden skewer, the tip is smeared with glue.

Then along the perimeter of the plywood, stick the tubes, in staggered order, thread the remaining tubes and begin to weave the sides, fixing the clamps. Finished tray color in the selected color. This tray is quite strong, so it can be used for storing newspapers, and as an original stand for indoor plants.

It should be noted that a tray of newspaper tubes, like any other piece of paper, is afraid of moisture. If you use it as a flower stand, before watering, be sure to move the pots to another surface.

From the tubes you can weave and a beautiful basket .
