There are two main ways of installing MDF panels - on glue and on the crate. The first is applicable only under the condition of a perfectly flat surface, but even in this case there are certain difficulties. The installation of MDF panels on the crate, both on the walls and on the ceiling, is easier and better.
Preparatory work
Installation of MDF panels on the walls with their own hands begins with the installation of the crate. We use slats with a section of 20x40mm. We fix them using self-tapping screws and screwdrivers in the direction perpendicular to the future panels. All the elements of the crate are fastened in steps of 40-50 cm.

We check with the help of the installation level the evenness of the installed rails.

If the wall is uneven, level the slats with small wooden blocks, plywood or wedges. Again we check the evenness.

The lower rails of the crate must be 4-5 cm from the floor - the floor skirting will be attached to them later on.
The upper rack must be located at the level of fixing the ceiling elements.
We fix the crate in all corners of the room, as well as along the perimeter of window and door openings.
Direct mounting of MDF panels
The process begins with the installation of the first panel in the corner of the room. We expose it on the level and boring it on self-tapping screws throughout the entire height.

Next, we need special fasteners, which are called kleimy.
We move the bracket (kleim) into the groove of the panel and fix it with a construction stapler.

The installation of all subsequent panels is carried out by connecting them with grooves and kleims. We set the crest of the next panel in the groove of the already installed panel and fix it to the crate, fastening with punches.

In this way, we continue to work until all the surfaces of the walls are faced with MDF panels. At the end we glue a special corner element - a folding fittings. We spread it with glue and press it tightly in the corner.
