Mosquito net on the stroller

The variety of prams today is so wide that the choice of a certain model often becomes a serious problem. But one thing is not to be doubted: any universal stroller or stroller-transformer is equipped with a set of necessary accessories, including a mosquito net.

Why do you need a mosquito net?

The skin of a newborn baby is extremely sensitive to any irritations. If an adult often does not notice a bite, for example, a mosquito, then for a crumb it is a serious problem - itching, redness, even swelling. Some children also have an allergic reaction to the bites of certain insect species. From these troubles mosquito net on the baby carriage saves very effectively.

Poplar fluff will no longer annoy the child during a walk if it is safely protected from this powerful allergen mosquito net. Winter walks, too, will turn into pleasure if flakes of snow do not fall on the face of a sleeping baby.

Another problem that residents of large cities have to face is ordinary dust. Probably, many are already aware of the experiment of an enterprising Muscovite who went outside with a vacuum cleaner and a wadded disk - in 5 minutes after turning on the device the disk attached to the suction pipe was absolutely black. And this air breathes newborn baby! Of course, mini-holes in the mosquito net on any stroller (transformer, walking , stroller , etc.) are not able to hold dust particles, but a certain part of it still settles on it, without getting into the respiratory tract of the crumbs.

In general, the accessory is quite functional and useful. But what to do if it was not included? There are universal mosquito nets for baby carriages of any models. Most often they are a cloak, which is trimmed around the edges with an elastic band. As an option: a mosquito net can be sewn to the stroller yourself.

We sew a mosquito net on a baby carriage

The simplest option is to make a pattern of mosquito netting on the stroller, using a raincoat that came with the accessories kit. From tulle or any other mesh material with small holes, cut out the same parts that were used for sewing a raincoat.

Do not forget that when you sew a mosquito net two or three centimeters of material will go to the allowance.

If there is no raincoat, then we act differently. We measure the distance from the closed hood to the running board, we add a few centimeters to the allowance, because the child in the stroller will necessarily be tossing the legs, so the net should be free.

Then on the perimeter of the net, sew a rubber band. It will not be superfluous to make additional fastening of a grid to a carriage, having connected an elastic band of its edge under a cradle or a walking block.

In places where the mosquito net will come in contact with the stroller (near the handles on the hood, on the frame at the footboard, etc.), sew the Velcro. Such a simple solution will increase the efficiency of using mosquito nets, since it will be denser to the frame of the stroller.

This accessory can perform not only a practical function, consisting in protection from insects, snow, dust, etc., but also become a decoration of the stroller. If you approach the matter with a share of imagination, then the usual grid will turn into a stylish element of the stroller's decor. On it you can sew lace flowers, make applique, decorate with strasses and paillettes. In addition, the mosquito net does not necessarily have to be white. Elegantly look universal stroller with a grid of black or gray. You can also choose a contrast color.
