The New Year holidays are approaching, which means that morning schools are expected in schools and kindergartens, and in organizations - corporate parties . And, of course, you need to prepare some carnival costume. But, you see, cats, squirrels, chanterelles are a little bored, so we suggest looking at the negative but attractive character - Maleficente, the heroine of the cartoon "Sleeping Beauty" and the film-fantasy "Maleficent". So, we will tell you how to create a carnival costume of Maleficenta.

How to make a children's costume Maleficents?

The proposed option is suitable for a small girl. It is created simply, and therefore the mother will not need the skills of a seamstress. So, first we'll take care of the Maleficent's horns, which you will need a thin hoop with cat's ears, a detached dermantine or leather cut, a cloth glue, scissors.

1. Make a pattern of horns from the paper, attach it to dermantinu and cut 2 identical parts.
2. Glue one piece in the ear from behind, and the other from the front.
3. Turn the paper pattern over to the other side and cut two pieces of dermantine again. Repeat step 2.

The costume will also consist of a black T-shirt or body decorated with a brooch, rhinestones. The straps can be trimmed with decorative feathers.

In the Maleficenta costume for children, you need to create a lush skirt-pack of thin strips of black tulle and a wide elastic band. Stripes of tulle need to be fixed by dragging the ends through the loop. Black color can be "diluted" with strips of green or purple tulle. At the end of the work, simply sew the ends of the rubber band.

How to make a Maleficent costume?

For an adult costume you need to sew a dress. You will need a brown or black knitted fabric.

1. At the cut of a fabric with the sizes 1,7х1 m, folded long side in half, cut out a mouth in diameter of 15-20 sm and sidewalls as on drawing 1.
2. The upper part of the second cut of knitwear size 1.3x1 and pick.
3. Then sew it to the back of the first cut.
4. The third cut (for sleeves) with a size of 3x1.5 m cut into 2 identical parts. Put the parts on top of each other, roll diagonally. Cut off one corner.
5. Unfold the fabric and sew triangles along the line of the cut off corner. These are sleeves.
6. Sew sleeves on the sides of the main fabric.
7. Fold the cloth in half and sew together the edges of the sleeves, the bottom.
8. Grab the sleeves by attaching a rubber band on the underside.
9. Attach the edges of the sleeves to your shoulders.

It remains to make a few "accessories": from the dermantine or leather sew a triangle, tape its corner with feathers.

In the second two corners, attach dermantinovyh plaits, braided in braids.

We create the horns for the Maleficent costume with our own hands as follows:

1. Two identical lengths of wire length of 10-15 cm bend.
2. Then wrap each wire with a floral tape starting from the top of the future horns. The bottom of the horn should be thicker.
3. We wrap the workpieces with black electrical tape.
4. Both horns are attached to a thick black hoop with a glue gun.
5. Sealing places are covered with electrical tape.

But for a complete resemblance to Maleficent you can create a magic staff. To make it, you will need: a stick, a black insulating tape, a twine, a children's green sparkling ball, a measuring cup, a black spray paint and dense material.

1. Stick the ball to the measuring cup. The workpiece, in turn, must be attached to one of the tips of the stick with glue, and then wrapped with black electrical tape.
2. Cut from the dense material three petals. Wrap them around the ball, glue it again and wrap it with electrical tape.
3. Decorate the stick with string, and then paint with black spray paint.
