Liver with onions and carrots

Onions and carrots are the only and, perhaps, the most universal additions to meat dishes, that's why we decided to pay attention to such familiar ingredients and tell about how to cook a liver with onions and carrots.

Chicken liver with onions and carrots

We sift the flour and mix it with salt and pepper. Pour pieces of chicken liver into the resulting mixture. In a frying pan, we heat the oil and fry the chicken liver on it for 4-5 minutes. Stir fried slices into a plate and cover with foil, so as not to cool.

In the same pan fry the onion and carrots, cut into thin rings, until soft. Salt and pepper add to taste, along with butter, as soon as the vegetables are ready. Mix the ready-made vegetables and liver directly in a frying pan, warm up another couple of minutes and serve it to the table.

Fried liver with onions and carrots is served to the table separately, or with a garnish of mashed potatoes.

Liver stewed with onions and carrots

Before frying beef liver with onion and carrots, the liver itself must be cleaned of films, veins and bile ducts, and then rinsed and cut into strips.

In a frying pan, we warm up the vegetable oil and fry the pieces of liver to golden color on it. As soon as the liver is browned, add the chopped onion, thin ringlets of pepper and grated carrot on a large grater. Pass the vegetables for 4-5 minutes and add the tomato paste and garlic.

To the dish soaked with smoked taste and aroma, we put in after the vegetables slices of ham or smoked bacon. Season the dish to taste with salt, pepper and paprika, cover with a lid and simmer in its own juice for 10 minutes, after which the dish can be served to the table. If the liquid in the frying pan is not enough - add a little water or meat broth.

The liver, stewed with onions and carrots, is served along with the gravy in which it was cooked, as well as a side dish made from cereals, pasta or vegetables.
