Jam from gooseberries with seeds and walnuts

Ingredients:

Preparation:

Berries are thoroughly washed, we remove the tails and stems with scissors, pierce each berries with a toothpick. Some remove seeds from the berries, but there is an opinion that it is better not to do this for three reasons:

From the boiling water with sugar in a separate scoop we make sugar syrup, you can boil 10-20 leaves of cherry and blackcurrant in it, this will give the syrup special shades of color, additional flavor and aromatic tones.

We lay the prepared berries in an enamel pot and pour sugar syrup. We put the container on a small fire and bring it to a boil, carefully removing the foam if necessary. After boiling, cook the jam for 5 minutes and turn off the fire. Cover the container and leave until completely cooled.

Nuts are not cut too finely with a knife (however, you can cut the nucleoli and not cut them, just remove the partitions and break them into 4 parts) and lightly calcine in a dry frying pan on low heat, stirring with a wooden spatula.

We put prepared nuts in a jar with jam, put it on a small fire, again bring it to a boil and cook it for another 5 minutes. Some repeat the cycle again. Jam is obtained with whole fruits, not only delicious, but also looks beautiful.

We put the jam in sterilized glass jars. Full cans can be rolled in sterilized in boiling water with tin lids, turn over and cover (let it cool down) or put plastic caps on the jars. Keep the prepared jam in jars should be in a room with a low plus temperature (glazed veranda, balcony).

Jam from gooseberries with nuts served for tea, you can also use it in the preparation of sweet pastries and confectionery.
