How does the basal temperature change during the menstrual cycle?
Normally, the temperature values change as follows:
- the first 12 days of the cycle - 36.8-36.9;
- the day before the ovulation process (usually 13 days) - 36.6;
- The 14th day of the cycle is 37.2;
- 19-20 day - 37 degrees;
- 21-25 day - 37.2 degrees (if conception occurs). In those cases when pregnancy does not occur, the temperature drops to 36.6-36.8 degrees.
When does the basal temperature fall?
On the chart of basal temperature, implantation of the western part is easy to see. So, most often it's a 19-20 day cycle, when the temperature is set at 37 degrees.
As is known, the westernization of basal temperature is most often observed with the onset of pregnancy. But much more often women notice, so-called implantation bleeding, which consists in the allocation of a small amount of blood from the vagina. This is caused by the introduction of a fetal egg into the endometrium of the uterus. At the same time, there are no painful feelings, and the woman feels well.
Very often, women with a basal temperature westernization consider its decrease immediately after ovulation. This opinion is erroneous. After all, even in the term "implantation Westernization," the first word indicates that this phenomenon occurs immediately after the introduction of a fertilized egg into the uterine cavity. Usually it is 6-7 days after fertilization.
Thus, having marked the decrease in basal temperature in this period, the woman can assume that she is pregnant.
