The famous designer was born in 1970 in Nicosia (the capital of Cyprus). In 1982, Hussein's parents divorced, and the boy moved to London to his father. His childhood dream of becoming a pilot was not realized. Fate ordered that he enter the Warwickshire Art School. Then Hussein becomes a student at the London Central College of Design and Art of St. Martin.
He called his graduation collection "Tangents". He created it from a material that was buried in the ground with sawdust. This work became a sensation in the fashion world.
A year later, Hussein Chalayan excites everyone with his new collection of clothes "Cartesia", in which some things were made of paper.
