Sesame oil in cosmetology

Aging is an integral part of the life cycle. Time passes, leaving on our faces fatigue and inevitably appearing wrinkles. But the modern industry does not stand still and every day offers more and more funds from the anti-age series. However, they are not always effective and safe, so many women return to cosmetics that have passed the test of time. One such product is sesame oil, which holds an honorary place in cosmetology.

The history of sesame (sesame) oil is rooted in ancient India, where it was used not only as a dressing for various dishes, but also highly valued in medicine.

Sesame oil as a cosmetic product

Sesame oil of cold pressing, that is, obtained from unroasted sesame seeds, is an ideal cosmetic. It contains polyunsaturated acids and phospholipids, which play an important role in the restoration of cell membranes, skin regeneration, thus accelerating the healing process. It also contains lecithin, which perfectly moisturizes the skin, preventing dehydration and wrinkles.

In addition, vitamins A and E are present in the sesame oil. Thanks to vitamin A, the metabolism in the cells of the epidermis (the upper layer of our skin) is normalized, the synthesis of proteins (such as elastane) is intensified, and thus the process of withering of the skin slows down. And vitamin E, also known as tocopherol, is the strongest antioxidant that prevents oxidative damage to cells. In this regard, sesame oil is an excellent remedy for wrinkles.

In cosmetology, it is also known that sesame oil plays the role of a natural UV filter, thanks to an active substance called sesamol. It protects the skin from the adverse effects of sunlight, which not only contributes to the formation of burns, but also speeds up the aging process of the skin. Therefore, in the summer, and especially when on the seashore, use sesame oil as a balm for the body, before and after sunbathing.

Sesame oil is useful for the skin also because it contains natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory components that are effective for improving the condition of the problem skin. It narrows the pores and soothes the skin with eczema, acne and other lesions.

Application

Sesame oil can be mixed with any face cream in order to enhance its nutritional properties. Also it can be used separately, applying a few drops on the cleansed face and neck. It perfectly moisturizes, nourishes and tones the skin, and also improves its color and texture. It can be safely used as a means to remove make-up from the eyes, and if the oil is slightly warmed up - it will turn into an excellent purifier for pores: perfectly softens dead cells, reduces flaking, removes inflammation and normalizes greasiness.

Sesame oil is suitable for the skin of the eyelids. We recommend daily in the morning and in the evening to apply a small amount of oil on the lower and upper eyelid, easily rubbing it with the pads of your fingers. This will ensure an ideal moisturizing, eliminating bags and dark circles under the eyes.

You can also use sesame oil for massage. Due to the large content of magnesium, it perfectly relaxes muscles and has a good relaxing effect. They say that if you include pleasant music, take a few drops of oil and massage the whiskey, you can get rid of sleepless nights.
