Recipe for oil from fresh sea-buckthorn

Since you have left the cake for berries for cooking sea-buckthorn oil under the previous recipe, do not rush to throw it away:

  1. Pour the remaining berries with purified sunflower oil in a 1: 1 ratio. The oil must completely cover the mass.
  2. Infuse this mixture at room temperature, for 21 days, sometimes stirring with a wooden spoon.
  3. Then drain the oil into another container.

Also, the remains of berries can be dried, and then pour with warmed oil (about 50-60 degrees). Leave to stand for two to three weeks, and then drain.

The concentration of nutrients in sea-buckthorn oil from the cake prepared according to this recipe is much lower than in the manufacture of cold pressed oil. Therefore, this oil can be used again, filling it with a fresh portion of the cake, preheated to 50 degrees. To speed up the procedure, you can use a water bath with a temperature of 50-55 degrees. Insist oil, under these conditions, should be within 24 hours.
