How can you sew a hard and soft lambrequin?
Lambrequin is a horizontal piece made of fabric, no larger than 20 percent of the height of the window opening. It can be either hard or soft.

How to sew the lambrequin correctly:
- Fold the square of fabric with sides 1.40 m diagonally and note the fold of the middle of the svag.
- Let's start assembling the svaga. To do this, use a bar with marks on which the folds of the svag will be fixed. mark on the bar the planned width of the middle of the saga, as well as its shoulders. Hang a square of cloth on the bar observing the angle of 45 degrees. The indicated middle of the svag must coincide with the zero mark on the bar. Lay and pin the first fold of the svag.
- After the formation of the first fold, we also lay the second fold. For the convenience of forming folds and a better view of the center of the svaga, fix the weighting agent.
- We lay down in this way all the folds, observing the symmetry. All folds should be of equal depth. Do not forget to check the height and width of the center of the svag!
- Cut off the excess fabric and pin the top edge of the svag along the crease line of the folds - you can now dissolve the svag's fabric and transfer the contours of the part onto paper or dummy cloth - this will be your basic pattern. The bottom of the svaga is treated with an oblique bake, simply sewed or decorated with fringe or braid-glass beads. Top the svaga with curtain tape.
- If necessary, for example, close the gaps between the svagi, decorate the lambrequin with decorative elements such as ties, cascades and chilli.
- Tie to carve out even easier. To do this, build a trapezoid, where the parallel sides are equal to the length of the tie, and not parallel to its width. For example, the length of a tie = 30 cm on one side and 45 cm on the other, the width is chosen by model. The length of the tie should not exceed the length of the svag more than 20 percent.
