Since ancient times people have believed in various gods. This faith was for them a unity with nature. This religion was passed on from generation to generation, for many centuries. One of the main deities in which different nations believed was the god of light.

God of Light in Ancient Greece

God of light in ancient Greece was considered Apollo. He was one of the main and most revered gods. He was the master of solar heat and light.

Apollo is the keeper of life and order, the patron of sciences and arts, the god-healer . Strictly punished all the lawlessness, but those who repented of bloodshed, he cleaned. Delivered mankind from all evil and hatred.

God of light with the Slavs

The god of fire and light among the Slavs was Svarog. Also, being associated with heavenly fire and the celestial sphere, was considered the god of heaven. In Slavs, fire is a cleansing flame, the basis of the universe, and Svarog is its master.

Persian god of light

The Persian god of light was Mithra, appearing above the mountains before sunrise.

This was a symbol of friendliness and harmony. He helped the needy and suffering people, protected them in times of various calamities and wars. For observance of strict moral principles , Mithra provided his followers with eternal bliss and peace in the next world. He accompanied the souls of the dead to the afterlife, and those who particularly deserved it led to the heights of pure light.

Miter is dedicated to a number of underground sanctuaries, which are adapted for joint evening meals of believers. He was one of the most revered gods, to whom people prayed and bowed before him.
