Forms for garden figures

In order to make the homestead more cozy, modern and stylish, a variety of garden figures are used , which are cast using special shapes.

What are the forms?

For the production of garden figures, molds made of silicone, gypsum, fiberglass or metal are used. Each of these materials has its advantages, but also disadvantages. Sculptures are made of gypsum, concrete, polymer material. And also liquid stone.

Forms for garden figures from gypsum

A fairly laborious process can be called the ebb of garden figures in plaster forms, because it requires a lot of effort. In addition to the very material of the figure, the shape also has a large mass, and even with careless handling it can easily split. The advantage of this form is its price - it is equal to the cost of the material spent.

Polymer molds

Fiberglass is more reliable in comparison with gypsum, it is lighter, but still quite brittle material, and therefore will withstand a few cycles in pouring. Unless to get this form for one-time use.

Metal molds

Metal belongs to the category of remnants of the past, since working with such a form is laborious enough and after removing the figure there are many influxes that have to be cleansed for a long time.

Silicone forms

The most modern and successful material for molds for garden figures is silicone. This form consists of an external metal rigid frame, and inside, there are two halves of soft dense silicone. The entire structure is bolted together. Due to the fact that the silicone part overlaps the second part, the figure leaves without an influx in the center and the material does not pour out. In addition, even without vibration works, the cast gypsum or polymer is distributed evenly over the entire inner surface, and therefore there will be no shells and voids in the figures.
